Marcelo Sant’lago began his work in the advertising industry in 1989. He has been in interactive since 1996, serving as President and Chairman of IAB Brazil between 2002-2007. Along with this work Sant’lago presented about interactive media all over the world – Argentina, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Mexico, North America, the United Kingdom, and UAE. In 2008 Sant’lago served as Co-Chairman of the SEMPO Latino Committee. He has also held senior executive positions at JWT, iProspect and Real Media Brazil. He was also partner at MBreak Comunicação in Sao Paulo, a business consultancy.
Currently he is Vice President, Business Development for Latin America at Sapient Nitro. Marcelo Sant’ Iago is responsible for leading the agency’s growth across Latin America, including driving new business and expanding SapientNitro’s existing global accounts that will benefit from the agency’s integrated capabilities in the region.
Sant’lago‘s writings include regular blog posts about interactive media, monthly articles for internet news website Webinsider.com.br and several published articles and interviews in Brazil, UK and USA. Marcelo Sant’Iago is a recognizable industry leader and was recently quoted in the latest eConsultancy Brazil report.
